Membership Payment:

Membership can be paid monthly with automatic withdraw or with annual payment. Monthly payment occurs on the 5th of every month automatically withdrawn from the member’s checking, savings or credit card account. When joining, members pay the initiation fee plus a pro-rated amount for the first month. Cancellation notices are required prior to the 20th of the month when canceling. Those opting for annual will make one payment yearly on

the membership anniversary date. Reminders are sent one month in advance. When joining, members will pay the initiation fee plus the yearly membership rate in full.

 

Away Program:

As a YMCA member, you are part of the National YMCA's AWAY program. This means that when you are in another city, you may also visit that area YMCA as a member. The YMCA must be a participant of the AWAY program.

 

Card Scanning:

All members of the facility will receive a member card. Members are required to bring their card and check in at

each visit.

 

Parking:

Additional parking is available at the Methodist Church just down the street.

 

Tours:

We would like to show you what the Juniata Valley YMCA has to offer. Tours are available during operational hours.

 

Financial Assistance:

The YMCA is community-based and believes that its programs and services should be available to everyone. The

YMCA believes a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed if the recipient has contributed to the cost of

their YMCA involvement; therefore, those eligible will be asked to pay some portion of the fees. Completion of an

application with requirements including proof of income, family size and necessary expenses. Attached with the application needs to be one of the following: copy of last year's tax return, copy of SS or disability checks, and documentation of any Federal Assistance like food stamps, rent subsidy or Aid.

*Funding for the Open Door Policies are made possible through the generosity of our members and donors and the United Way of Mifflin-Juniata Counties.

 

Guests:

The guest pass is intended to encourage membership and provide out-of-town visitors access to the YMCA. Although you may purchase an unlimited number of passes, it is the YMCA’s desire that you purchase a membership and receive full membership privileges. The days do not have to be used consecutively.

Membership is accessible for everyone. The JV YMCA offers a variety of payment options and membership types. Financial Assistance is available for anyone who cannot afford a membership through the Open Door Policy. Joining the JV YMCA grants full access to the facility, programs and classes at a reduced rate and helps build a positive, healthy lifestyle. Programs embrace diversity, reflecting the needs and composition of the surrounding communities they serve.
